Background

Louise"When emotional stresses, physical traumas or inadequate exercise and nutrition have taken their toll on your well-being these gentle but profoundly effective therapies are valid tools to help you on the path to better health."

My earliest memories of healthcare go back to my childhood when my family used homeopathy, osteopathy and naturopathy alongside more conventional medicine - both for the humans and the animals!

The potential for good health is greatly enhanced by harnessing all the knowledge and skills available to us; in the last fifty years there has been a shift towards using complementary therapies by consumers, I am keen to promote a respectful attitude towards both complementary and conventional medicine.  Our brightest future is an integrated one.

I trained with the Tisserand Institute and since then have explored many aspects of aromatherapy, massage, reflexology and other touch therapies both through post graduate study and personal use.  I believe any living organism responds positively to an opportunity to heal and in my experience the best results are obtained by keeping it simple but not formulaic.  I enjoy tailoring each therapy session to your needs as they present on the day of treatment - often recommending mixing and matching different disciplines, sometimes within the same session.

Since the autumn of 2006 I have been lucky enough to work in a purpose built treatment room (pictured) at my home.  It is lovely and tranquil, gently luxurious too, with warm towels and a heated couch…

Wonderful!
